In follow up to the MOA Physician Physical and Psychological Safety that formed part of the April 1st, 2019 PMA (attached), we are now seeking nominees to be part of the Regional Physical/Psychological Health and Safety Working Group(s).

Working Group Description:

Doctors of BC is seeking applications for six (6) members (one (1) from each health authority) for the Regional Physical/Psychological Health and Safety Working Group.

From these six (6) members, three (3) will be chosen to be formal members of the Physician Specific Issues Working Group, with the other three (3) serving as alternates. This selection for the Physician Specific Issues Working Group will be done from within the working group itself, once populated.

These positions will provide opportunities for physician engagement and input at a provincial, regional, and local level to help protect and promote the physical and psychological safety of physicians.

The work of these positions involves two parts:

  1. Regional representation (serving as the physician representative on Health Authority Occupational Health and Safety/Psychological Safety/Violence Prevention Committee(s)) and
  2. Potential representation at a provincial level to discuss broader physician specific issues related to physicians and psychological health and safety (i.e. Physician Specific Issues Working Group).
